Big Lottery Fund
The Big Lottery Fund is the largest funder of community activity in the UK, giving out 40% of the money raised by National Lottery players to good causes.
The Big Lottery Fund uses National Lottery funding to help communities achieve their ambitions. From small, local projects to UK-wide initiatives, its funding brings people together to make a difference to their health, wellbeing and environment. Since June 2004 it has awarded £8.5 billion to projects that improve the lives of millions of people. National Lottery funding
Around £30 million is raised every week for good causes and over half a million projects have now been funded. For every game played, a proportion goes to funding projects big and small across the nation, through 12 specialist organisations who distribute this money to projects supporting communities, arts, sport and heritage.
