Creating new cancer care massage clinics
Iris Cancer Partnership
This organisation trains therapists how to safely massage people who have cancer at any stage in their illness, in hospices, hospitals, support groups and GP surgeries. The massages help people manage anxiety, fatigue, stress and loss of body confidence helping them to regain a sense of control and relaxation. The project will provide nine new cancer care massage therapists to deliver free cancer care massage in areas where this is not currently available and increase provision in existing massage teams.
