Wheels to save lives

Freewheelers Emergency Volunteer Service (Weston) Blood Bikes

The group will use the funding to purchase two additional blood bikes, as NHS hospitals, minor injuries units, birthing centres, district nurses, nursing homes and hospices continue to request help to transport a wide range of items. The project will also support air ambulance teams, as being able to transfuse blood at the scene of an accident has a visible impact on the pre-hospital treatment they are able to provide.

Location: Bristol

Funding requested: £30,000
